Dudley Page Reserve in Dover Heights offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Sydney only a few minutes drive from Bondi Beach. Watch the sunset over the Harbour Bridge with the whole city spread out in front of you.
New Years Eve at Dudley Page has become a popular location and at one stage the local council was considering fencing off the reserve and charging a fee for the new years eve celebration but it never came to be.
Dover Heights is believed to have been named for its cliffs along the Pacific Ocean which resembled those found at Dover in Kent, England. The first mention of Dover Heights appeared in municipal records in 1886. The area was first used for market gardens.
