Newcastle Ocean Baths: Opened 1922, is a testament to the popularity of swimming in Newcastle throughout the last century.
The Canoe Pool: Situated next to the Ocean Baths, was built in the late 1930's for young swimmers. The floor once featured a map of the world, with the various continents jutting out of the water like islands.

19th Century King Edward Park: King Edward Park and Rotunda date back to the earliest days of Newcastle and is still a popular recreation area.
The Obelisk: A prominent feature on Newcastle's skyline, once used by ships to identify Newcastle Harbour and guide them in.
