Central Station Coach Park

Coach & Bus Parking at Sydney Central Station

Since Eddy Ave at Central Station has been closed off as a coach terminal due to the Light Rail infrastructure in 2017, the new bus bays and coach terminal has been relocated to the Western Forecourt of Central Station for private bus operators and having better access for pedestrians from the Grand Concourse to meet the minibuses and coaches.
The bus and coach terminal will improve connectivity for many customers and minimise the traffic impact on Eddy Avenue.

Known as the Central Station Coach Park, it has been established by Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to provide a passenger terminal for long-distance coach services and private bus companies operating to and from destinations beyond the Sydney metropolitan area.

The Central Station Coach Parking Terminal is open 24hrs and has 9 bus bays which has a 20-minute allocation window for pickup and drop off.
While this is not the only bus parking zone in this part of Sydney CBD, it is the only coach pickup and drop off zone at Central Station.

Coach parking at Central Station has 9 bus bays located within the Western Forecourt with both an entrance and exit from Hay Street and Pitt St.
All coach parking Central Station is pre-booked only with 30-minute timeslots allocated.

There are 4 choices of local hotels in short walking distance from Central Station that also have bus parking zones if no bus bays are available for the time and date you require so alternate locations are available.

TfNSW has re-instated the payment fees for use of the bus bays which will commence on Monday, 1st July 2024 which will be charged per bus, per bay and will be payable at the time of booking.
There is no charge for a return drop-off at Central, but we must have a confirmed return booking.
Bookings for Central Station Coach Park is essential and is for accredited operators only.

Conditions of Use:

  1. A booking request must be made for each and every departure.
  2. Bookings for the use of bays must be made in advance and must be paid in advance.
  3. Bay usage fees booked by us will be invoiced by and payable to Sydney Charter Bus Pty Ltd
  4. Each booking for passenger pickup will entitle you to 20 minutes use of a bay.

has priority use of some bays in the facility. The facility is used by RailCorp in those cases
where buses replace or complement the train services due to, but not limited to, maintenance,
emergencies, and scheduled major events (such as Vivid Sydney).
  6. The terms and the conditions of use for the bays and rates are subject to change. Operators will be provided notice of any major changes.
