Opened as a wildlife park to the public in 1972, Featherdale has evolved from a humble poultry farm in 1953 into one of the best privately owned wildlife parks in Australia.

Q. Can I hold a koala?
A. No, it is not allowed in NSW unless you are a qualified keeper.

Q. Can we touch and pat (pet) the koalas?
A. Yes, you can get up close and touch the koalas

Q. Can we have lunch at Featherdale?
A. Yes, there is a cafe, shady picnic area and BBQ area.

Q. How long do we need at Featherdale?
A. If visiting Featherdale during a Blue Mountains tour then an hour is scheduled in.
Featherdale reccomends 2hrs if you want to take it all in and experience all the park has to offer.

Q. Is there WIFI at the park?
A. Yes, free WIFI. Sign up upon entry

Q. What kind of food does the cafe provide?
A. Plenty of hot food options, snadwiches, ice-cream, tea/coffee and cold beverages.

Q. Can we bring our own food and picnic there?
A. Yes, there are shady picnic areas which cannot be booked but are first-come basis. There is no alcohol consumption or smoking allowed.

Q. Is smoking allowed in the park?
A. No. There are designated areas in the carpark near the exit of the carpark. Please retain your admission passport for re-entry.
