COVID-19 Private Travel Information

The NSW Government has announced on its website which indicates there are “no restrictions for travel on non-government vehicles, including tour buses, coaches and mini buses.” It also indicates that “There is no limit to the number of passengers you can have in a vehicle and passengers can sit in any seat” and “Passengers do not need to be from the same household to travel together.”

As guidance, Sydney Charter Bus is required to implement controls to minimise the risk of driver and passenger exposure to COVID-19. As Sydney Charter Bus is a legal provider of tourist and charter services, we are also aware that rules about gatherings and physical distancing may still apply to venues and attractions. Tour buses, coaches, mini buses and hire vehicles

Changes to NSW Government trains, buses and ferries to encourage physical distancing do not apply to other modes of transport (i.e Private Charter Bus & Tour Bus Services). There are no restrictions for travel on non-government vehicles, including tour buses, coaches and mini buses.
There is no limit to the number of passengers we can have in a vehicle and passengers can sit in any seat. Passengers do not need to be from the same household to travel together. You can charter and hire with driver as normal. The usual road and safety rules apply regarding driver working hours and driver fatigue laws.
While there are still limitations to the number of people that can gather for non-travel related purposes, please check the NSW Government website for more information.
